Mechanical Rotating Plant

Reduce Downtime, Minimise failures, reduce inventory costs and prevent the risk of injury due to plant failures.

Infrared inspections of mechanical rotating equipment and process flow lines can find excess heat caused by friction and wear.

Some friction induced heating is normal in mechanical systems, but when it increases above typical operating temperatures, it can be a leading indicator of wear and a predictor of component failure. Thermal imaging detects this heat and identifies problems while they are in their early stages, preventing a catastrophic failure. In process flow lines heat signatures can be found on wear points near corners/bends and at flange points where joints in the lining occur.

Early detection provides your maintenance staff the opportunity to take corrective actions to prevent failure and downtime.

Electrical Plant

Reduce Downtime, Minimise failures, reduce inventory costs and prevent the risk of injury due to plant failures.

Thermal Imaging electrical inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components.

Thermography is used to find areas of excess heat which can be caused by poor connections, failing components, excessive loading amongst other reasons.

This means problems can be corrected BEFORE a component fails, causing damage to the component, creating safety hazards like fire hazards and critical systems failures and possible harm/injury to staff or clients.

Because increased heating is a sign of failure, Thermal Imaging is the best diagnostic tool available for finding these hot connections in the early stages of degeneration.

This is why your insurance company may have asked for an electrical thermal imaging inspection, to find and prevent problems before they cause damage to your personnel, equipment and facility.
